6” 1.4034/19C27 Petty/Utility in Karelian Birch, Ivory G10

The 6" etched blade is hand-ground from 1.4034/19C27 pattern welded (or “Damascus”) stainless steel. It has been hand-polished and etched in acid to accentuate the striking pattern achieved by welding two different types of stainless steel. Unlike many Damascus steel knives, this uses only stainless steel so it is much more resistant to rust/corrosion. It is also very easy to sharpen and maintain a keen edge, making this steel particularly well suited to kitchen knives. It has been heat-treated to approximately 62 Hrc by Paul Bos Heat Treating of Buck Knives.
The blade is a full flat grind and the edge is convex ground to 15 degrees per side (30 degrees inclusive). The spine and choil have been rounded for comfort.
The handle of this knife was made from Karelian birch wood. It has ivory G10 liners.
Not recommended for the dishwasher; as with all quality knives this should be washed by hand and dried immediately after use.
